The Nick Scott Background who is this guy?

I’m Nick Scott, RIZNWILD since ’87.  I run a few small businesses, my main deal when I’m not out getting wild is building swimming pools in Boise, ID.  I Grew up in the pool industry when I was a kid which ultimately moved me into that direction as I got older. I moved to Idaho from Orange & Palm Springs, CA when I was a little grom.  Been here ever since growing up in the country life. Moto was my first action sports love.  At 11 years old I rode my first bike at a friends house, been on the throttle ever since.

When I was in high school around 2003 I started wakesurfing.  Back then there were only one or two boats out that were surfing up on the lakes here at the time.  My family grew up in Newport and HB surfing so this wakesurfing was the next best thing for me.  I was 19 when I got my first board sponsor with Triple X Surf. I Created two models with them and named them after my initials, the Nitro and Slayer.  From there I started getting into board building. A shaper from California, Jeff Wahlers owner of Soulcraft Boarding, was starting his wakesurf company in Boise around 2010, he introduced me into building boards.  In 2012 I started my first board company, learned some hard lessons trusting my partner I brought into the sport and company.  I forced myself to let that company go and started Sixx Industries in 2014 and a fin company A6fins with my friend and surf buddy Aaron Witherell.

These days I’m a single dad busy building pools and fitting in building boards when I can.  I raise my daughter Averi aka Punki Princess so that’s been a full-time job in itself but it's fun raising a daughter pushing her into whatever action sport she might take up.  She loves the throttle and 4 wheels right now.  Along with jet skiing might be her favorite.  It's badass seeing your 8-year-old daughter enjoying the land and water lifesyle as I do, I’m in trouble for sure if she’s anything like me.

On top of doing moto stuff and wakesurfing I do some river surfing at the Boise River Wave when I can and hit a flowrider when I’m traveling.  Then I got back into SxS riding last year.  In 2006, I had my own fab shop building sandcars and pre-runner trucks but that died out when the economy crashed out and UTVs just started coming out.  So I'm getting back into those again hitting the dunes and mountain trails now are awesome, such a good time rolling with a local group here we call ourselves the Hawley Mountain Rippers started by Will Branch of Toy Industries.  Past 3 years I got myself into one of the craziest sports I think compared to anything else I do, it's called speed flying.  Speed flying has pushed me for sure.  You can’t really mess up flying off a mountaintop in the air with a parachute/ wing designed to glide fast down to the ground.  It’s a rush for sure.

I learned the redneck way from some buddies I found here doing it and it has been the best experience flying with those guys who are really good, and pushing myself and teaching me to ride the wind which you can only feel and not see and with no throttle to save you if things get crazy.  We just did a session with a 6 seater jet helicopter that would fly us to the mountaintop then we would speedflying down, getting multiple flights in very fast.  Most of the time we have to hike or find a launch site with a road like the new HSB flight park here in Horseshoe Bend, ID. It's a rad experience I'm glad to have found it and got involved.
